Well, well, well, let me tell you folks about the architectural designer Khang Nguyen. This fella's got over 12+ years of experience designing buildings both in the good ol' USA and abroad.

Now, Khang didn't just become a designer overnight, no siree. He grew up in a small town near the Mekong River in South Vietnam and got his 5-year bachelor's degree from the University of Architecture in Saigon. And let me tell you, he didn't just graduate with a participation trophy. Oh no, Khang won the Vietnam National of Excellent Graduation Project with his exploration of using culture as an instrument of vision in urban development for his hometown.

But that wasn't enough for Khang. He went on to get his Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he really put his thinking cap on and received the Annual Celebration of Excellence by Students (ACES) Graduate Sustainability Award with the Zero-Energy Responsive Façade System  project.

This guy's passion for architecture is as clear as day, and he puts his all into his designs, sketches, and collaboration with colleagues. Khang's always trying to solve "design puzzles" and come up with the most optimized solution for his clients. He's all about functional architecture that not only fulfills project scope and concept but is also aesthetically pleasing.

And let me tell you, Khang's approach to projects is as unique as they come. He focuses on integrating spaces, nature, and human experience to create a unified and harmonious architectural response. He's all about designing for everyday human life, and he's even an enthusiastic sketcher who enjoys brainstorming ideas and visualizing experiences in the space.

But that's not all, folks. Khang is also an active member and leader of various groups, including leading the AIA Dallas Education Outreach Committee for 2 consecutive years (2019 and 2020) and  a long time member of Dallas Sketchers that meet weekly at North Park Center (previously at Half Price Book).. And when he's not busy designing and leading, he's exploring different local authentic restaurants with his wife Naomi in Richardson. Don't you just love a man with a passion for design and food?
